In October 2024 I purchased something I didn’t think I would have- a Tent Box for my car! I decided to get one of these to enable astronauts adventures further afield in 2025, with the flexibility to be a bit more spontaneous and the ability to have a sleep if I am getting tired.

I decided to take it out for a try in North Wales, and it was a very different experience! Although I am used to wild camping, it is very different sleeping on top of your car! I slept very lightly, and I think I would need to get an air mattress for a bit of extra comfort, but overall I was happy with the experience. Whats more, I was able to get up and do some photography in the morning. This will really help me to maximise my time in these beautiful locations!

When I woke up I could see Orion lining up behind the car, and couldn’t resist taking some shots. This was 10 8 second images, stacked to reduce noise. Here’s to more adventures in 2025!
