Tu Hwnt i'r Bont Tearooms, Llanrwst
Tu Hwnt i'r Bont Tearooms- a photographers dream in autumn! This beautiful, historic building is a grade II listed 15th century tea room located on the banks of the Avon Conwy. This building is steeped in history, and brings in lots of photographers and tourists, particularly in autumn when her autumnal coat stuns. The building is covered in Virginia Creepers, providing a dark green coat in spring and summer, but come autumn the leaves transform into a vibrant shade of red. It isn’t hard to see why it is so popular!
To catch the famous autumn colours, you must time your visit carefully. They only turn red for a short period of time each year, during autumn and usually this peaks in September. When the leaves start to turn red, the tearoom will post this on their social media- so act quickly before the colours start to fade.
If you want to take some photos and want to avoid having people in shot, it would be best to get there early before they open. But it is very unlikely you will be alone- there will be photographers set up on the other side of the river. I really need to try this tearoom, as every time I have been it has been closed as it has been super early!
